This new printer also has a laser engraving function that will now allow us to laser engrave many materials in house. We have also acquired a new Teirtime UpBox+ which will give us more fine quality printing as well in the area of abs material with a fully enclosed chamber.

  • Also as an update on some exciting corporate news for us - we now have our very own in-house 3D printer with a capability of printing 12" x 12" x 12". So we're now looking to print all of our shells in-house and starting to look at making a lot of our internal brackets out of 3D printed material to reduce cost. We have the capability to print a lot of different materials but so far we use PLA for a rapid prototype/proof of concept type material, ABS material for making a stronger and rigid internal brackets and shells, and a composite Nylon material for making production parts and shells. We also have the capability to print a carbon fiber composite material, we have not tried that yet but we look forward to using it where strength and durability are require versus us making things out of aluminum. Look for pictures and video to be uploaded soon.
